FRANK RANDLE FANS - how about this HOTUN! ... a photo of Frank with Gus Aubrey ... Our thanks to itsahotun reader Gail Cloake who discovered these items whilst researching her grandfather's history. William F Cloake was a scenic manager who owned his own company in Manchester providing sets and backdrops for the theatre. William's wife was Ethel Masterson who herself appeared on stage. William's belongings (he died in 1968) were left to Gail by her father and now these treasures will be appearing here on itsahotun. Gail will be forwarding more pictures of Frank, Pat Phoenix and many more so watch this space!! ... always welcomed, many thanks Gail! It is always a thrill to hear from visitors to this site and it is in fact a two-way research tool ... in this case, if anyone has more info on William and Ethel Cloake, who lived on Raby Street in Moss Side, please email Cuthbert and we'll put you in touch with Gail. Perhaps you knew Jack Gillam? Please get in touch if you do! Don't forget to see other photographs sent to us by Hotun readers - and some great memories - all to be found in our Galleries sections - eg Frank Randle's Gallery. |
